remote control Apr 02, 2010 To operate two or more components must hold on button for a long time to turn on and if you don't hold it long enough it will only turn off one component.
Does what it claims. Mar 28, 2010 Setup took 10-15 minutes and this remote was able to replace the Bell Expressview remote at 1/6 the price. The only thing it is missing is the "interactive tv" button but we don't use that feature. Remote feels good in your hands.

Obsolete Universal Remote does not work with todays stuff Jan 13, 2010 This Universal Remote is obsolete with its codes working for products dated back to 2004 - 2005 won't work with later date stuff unless you mail to the manufacturer for program updates if they can do it - better to purchase a learning remote that can learn from your devices remote controls today and in the future!!! I felt I was scammed by the manufacturer - I cannot believe that the Federal Trade and BBB does not set standards to protect the consumers from such unethical business practices of selling remotes to the public that are obsolete and then expect customers to pay postage for having the remotes updated programmed for future devices. Do yourself a favor and get a learning universal remote instead!!!

Works great Dec 12, 2009 I purchased two of these to hopefully replace a TiVO, DVD, Cable box, TV, and surround sound remotes. I've gotten all to work except the surround sound (Wal-Mart cheapo that apparently no one can get to work with a universal remote). The set up was easy and most importantly, the TiVO functionality is there. I did have to do some button configuration for a Tivo function or two (there's no clear button on the remote for the Tivo). This link is a big help [...]. Once you figure out the code that controls your device, then the links here give you all the extra functions that may not be on the universal. The book that comes with this remote doesn't tell how to assign a specific function to a key, It's device, set - 2 flashes, 9,9,4, set, CODE, key to use . For example to assign the TIvo Clear to the Move button on the remote (note - my Tivo works with the code 0618 and the clear code is 663) - PVR, set - 2 flashes, 9,9,4, set, 6,6,3, move.
We're very pleased. My wife isn't yelling at me to pause a DVD shen she wants to tell me something. We're not juggling 4-5 remotes anymore.
Works fine Nov 30, 2009 This remote works OK for our Samsung TV. The volume control on our original remote stopped working so we needed a replacement. There are several problems though:
- we can't use the TV's menu - the menu button opens a menu but there is no way to move or select items in the menu
- there is no "antenna" button which switched between cable and over-the-air antenna on the original remote.
